Licensed Pistol in your Glove Compartment?

DON’T DRIVE YOUR CAR TO WORK………………..

A recent Pennsylvania case upheld the firing of a Fed Ex employee who parked his car on a Fed Ex parking lot with a licensed pistol in his glove compartment. Fed Ex has a policy against firearms on their premises. The fact that the employee had a license did not protect the employee who had no contract of employment with Fed
Ex. The court said the employee was an “at will” employee and that there was no countervailing “public policy” (such as the right to bear arms, etc) that could protect him against Fed Ex’s decision.
